Evelyn Wood WOOD, Evelyn A. - 91, formerly of River Hebert and Windsor, passed away peacefully in the Willow Lodge, Tatamagouche, on January 23, 2009. Evelyn was a member of the River Hebert Baptist Church. She enjoyed all kinds of crafts, knitting, crocheting, and painting. She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Ruby (Banks) Marriott; her husband, Cecil Thomas Wood; daughter, Annie Mailing; stepmother, Blanche Banks-Martin; brothers, Stuart, Marriott and Percy Martin; and sister, Elsie MacKenzie-Pierce; nephews, George Marriott, Donald Martin; niece, Linda O'Regan. Arrangements have been entrusted to the River Hebert and Joggins Community Funeral Home, (902-251-2877). Visiting hours will be held in the River Hebert United Baptist Church on Sunday, January 25 from 1 p.m. until the time of the funeral service, which will be held at 2 p.m., with Rev. Donald Miller officiating. Burial will take place in the Windsor Cemetery, Windsor, on Monday.
