CRAWFORD, HERMAN - After a period of failing health, Herman Crawford of Red Rapids passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family at St. Joseph Hotel Dieu Hospital on August 10, 2005. Born in Arthurette on August 27, 1941 he was the son of the late Basil and Virginia (McCarty) Crawford. Besides his mother, he leaves behind his wife Colleen Crawford (Hollins); his sons Kent Crawford of Fredericton and Kelvin (Sharon) Crawford of Kingsley; his grandchildren Laurel, Kyle, Robert, Alexandra and Thomas Crawford; sisters Jacqueline (Tom) Keefer, of Staten Island, NY, Judith (Weldon) Nicholson of Wicklow, Deborah (Dan) O'Connor of Hamilton, ON; his brothers Malcolm (Beatrice) of Calgary, Basil Jr. (Chris) of Pincher Creek, AB, Donald of Fredericton, Daniel of Arthurette. Herman was predeceased by his father and his brother Ted Crawford. Herman was employed as a technical assistant with NB Power for 33 years. He was also the caretaker of St. Machutus Anglican Cemetery in Arthurette for the past several years. Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Friday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Saturday August 13, 2005 at 11 am from St. Helen's Anglican Church, Licford. Rev. Douglas Painter officiating. Interment will be in St. Machutus Anglican Cemetery, Arthurette. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Southern Victoria Cancer Assistance Fund or to St. Helen's Anglican Church Memorial Fund would be appreciated by the family.
