MURRAY, BLAIR FREDERICK CAMPBELL - Unexpectedly, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB on August 14, 2005, Mr. Blair Frederick Campbell Murray, 81, husband of the late Lillian Alexandra (Thorne) Murray, of Canal, NB. Born in Blacks Harbour, NB on July 26, 1924. He was a son of the late Frederick and Lottie May (Justason) Murray. A loving father and grandfather, he is survived by two sons, Sherman (Mary) Murray and Donald (Sylvia) Murray, both of Saint John; two grandchildren, David Murray (Christina) and Andrea Daigle (Aiden), both of Saint John; three great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Tyler and Julia; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He was pre-deceased, besides his wife, by two brothers, Ross and Lloyd, and two sisters, Doris Murray and Frances Chambers. Blair served in the Canadian Army for five years as well as the Royal Canadian Air Force for twenty years as an Air Frame Technician. Following his retirement with the air force, he worked for Connors Bros. Ltd., Can & Cover Division, for several years, until he retired. Blair loved hunting and fishing, enjoyed gardening and traveling. He enjoyed doing mechanical work around his garage as he was a master of all trades. He was an avid Toronto fan, faithfully following the Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #40, St. George, NB. Resting at the St. George Funeral Home, (755-3533), 26 Portage Street, St. George. NB from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 11 am, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the Funeral Home on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Legion tribute will be held on Tuesday evening at 6:30 pm.
