CHARLES ANTHONY NISBET

NISBET, CHARLES ANTHONY - It is with sadness that the family of Charles Nisbet announce his death in Victoria, B.C. on August 6th, 2005. Born in Milkish, N.B. in 1935, Charles was the son of the late James and Mary (McLean) Nisbet. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy for 32 years and was a life member and long time Secretary Treasurer of the R.C.N.A.A. Charles was also a former member of the local Sport Fishing Advisory Board, and a champion of the rights of local recreational fishermen. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Sharyn, his son Chuck (Justine) and his daughter Sherri (Rick). He is also survived by two sisters, Bernice (late Gerard) O'Hara of Saint John, and Norma (late John) Gibson of Moncton, his sister-in-law Gertrude Nisbet of Gondola Point, and his brother Ernest (Joan) Nisbet of Milkish, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers James and John (Jack), and a sister Anna. A funeral Mass was held at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church in Victoria on August 11, and a Memorial Mass and interment of ashes will take place at St. Bridget's Church, Chapel Grove, on Saturday, August 20th, at 11 A.M. Home is the sailer, home from the sea.
