FISHER, RONALD F. - Of Belleisle Creek, NB passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital Palliative Care Unit on Friday August 19, 2005. He was the son of the late William E. and Helen Gertrude (Sinstadt) Fisher. Ron is survived by his loving wife Gail Mona (Garfield) Fisher, three sons, Garfield William (Carmen) of Douglas NB. Bradley Frank (Jeanette) of Quispamsis, and Ronnie William of Saint John, three daughters, Kimberly (Rod) Anderton of Rothesay, Cheryl Lynn (Dale) Kennedy of Rothesay, and Carol (Danny) Cosman of Hampton, six grandchildren, Liam Ron-Allen, Cohen Bradley, Harrison, Curtis, Troy and Tammy, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews, and cousin. Besides his parents Ron is predeceased by seven sisters, Helen, Mable, Myrna, Dorothy, Marion, Betty and Jean. One of Ron's favorite passions was to entertain and cook for his family and friends. Ron served overseas during the Second World War with the Canadian Tank Corps. for three years from 1942- 1945 where he received the Canadian Volunteer service medal, Defense of England Medal, and the War Combat Medal. He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved music and in the later stage of his life he learned to play the saxophone, he played drums in several local bands and was the owner of the LM Club on Ropewalk Road. After his retirement in the 1970's he moved from the Sandy Point Rd. where he operated his own auto body shop for many years and moved to Belleisle Creek with his devoted wife and raised his family. Funeral arrangements for Ronald are under the professional care of Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424) By the request of the family there will be no visitations. A private family service will be held at the Fundy Funeral Home "Chapel". Interment will follow the service in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
