HELEN PAULINE (MCLEOD) STEEVES
STEEVES, HELEN PAULINE (MCLEOD) - Helen Pauline (McLeod) Steeves, age 93, of Petitcodiac, passed away, Wednesday, August 24, 2005 at her residence. Born January 30, 1912 in Penobsquis, she was a daughter of the late John and Nina (Morton) McLeod. She was a homemaker and in earlier years a teacher, a member of the Petitcodiac Baptist Church, the Glenvale Women's Institute, the Petitcodiac Home and School Association, and belonged to the Local Association of Girl Guides. She is survived by daughters, Elsie N. Francis (James) of Dungog, NSW, Australia, Harriet A. Constantine (Donald) of Petitcodiac, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Brown of Repulse Bay, Nunavut; daughter-in-law, Myrtle Steeves of Petitcodiac; brother, Robert S. McLeod (Annie) of Hampton; sister-in-law, Almeda McLeod of Sussex; 12 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Mark Joseph Steeves; son, Victor Steeves; brother, George McLeod; sister, Ruth Smith. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac (756-3361) where visiting hours will be held Saturday from 7-9pm. The funeral will be held from Armstrong's Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28, 2005 at 3pm, Rev. Robert Jones officiating. Burial will be held in Maplewood Cemetery.
