Gary Wayne Hunter Winnipeg, Manitoba - Gary Wayne Hunter, age 51, of Winnipeg, Manitoba and formerly of Springhill, N.S., died suddenly on July 30. He was the son of Annie and Austin Hunter, and lived in Springhill until he joined the Air Force at an early age, and later retired. Gary enjoyed outside activities, gardening and fishing, family, friends and his time of solitude in the mornings. He is survived by his estranged wife Linda, daughter Brandy, stepsons, Eric and Jared, brothers Bill (Francis), Ray Ruth), Darrell, Glen (Linda); sisters Marilyn (Tom), Venetta (Matt), Leota (Charles), several nieces and nephews. Gary was predeceased by his mother Annie Hunter, father Austin Hunter, brother Wallace Hunter, and a sister Sharon. Cremation has taken place and the ashes are being returned for a graveside ceremony at the Fenwick Cemetery Saturday, Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. The service will be followed by a lunch at the Immanuel United Church in Amherst.
