(nee O'Brien) Passed peacefully away in the presence of her loving family on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at the Health Sciences Centre, Elizabeth (Betty) Kavanagh, age 78 years. Predeceased by her parents Michael and Alice O'Brien, husband John, sons: John Jr. and Brian and sister Angela. Leaving to mourn with many happy memories, two daughters: Bonnie (Shawn Woodford) and Kelly Anne; five sons: Gary, Paul (Mary), Dale (Tracy), Scott (Brenda) and Michael (Tammy); sisters: Catherine Downey, Mary Pierce, Mary Murphy and Helen Snow; 11 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a large circle of relatives and friends and many staff and residents at St. Patrick's Mercy Home. Resting at Pendergast's Funeral Home on Friday, July 18 from 12 noon to 9 p.m. and Saturday, July 19 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with Mass at 2 p.m. Cremation to follow.
