RITCHIE, EVELYN - On Monday, August 29, 2005, Evelyn (Harley) Ritchie, loving wife of the Late Francis "Duke" Ritchie, passed away peacefully at St. John and St. Stephen Home. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the Late Michael Edward and Jane (Sliney) Harley. She was a member of St. Rose Church, Saint John and was a 50 year member of the Catholic Women's League. Evelyn is the loving mother of Eugene and his wife Joan of Saint John, and grandmother of Anthony Ritchie. Evelyn is survived by her sisters Rita K. Harley of Saint John, Dorothy O. Sharkey of Saint John, Elizabeth E. Diduskok and her husband Nicholas of Nevada, and Frances M. Gutherie of Saint John. Evelyn will be sadly missed by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and close relatives. In addition to her husband and parents, Evelyn is predeceased by her sister Mary Stackhouse and by her brothers Norman, Edward, Harold, Ronald, John, and Gregory. Resting at Castle Funeral Home Fallsview Chapel, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visitation on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose of Lima Church, 541 Milford Road, Saint John on Friday, September 2, 2005 at 10 o'clock. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. Donations in memory of Evelyn to the Arthritis Society or the Canadian Red Cross Society would be appreciated.
