QUINLAN, JEAN (nee MARIE JEANNE LAPLANTE) - Of 228 Hyman Drive, Dollard Des Ormeaux, Montreal, Quebec, passed away peacefully on August 17, 2005, surrounded by her beloved husband E. Joseph and family. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (nee Levesque) Laplante. Jean was a wonderful housewife and mother. She touched the lives of many family members and friends with her wisdom, generosity and warmth. Visitation was held at the Rideau Funeral Home. A bilingual Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on August 22, 2005 at St. Luke's Catholic Church by Rev. Father Roger Martineau, assisted by St. Luke's Senior Altar Servers. The Organist was Marian Rodrigues, accompanied by Soloist John Quinlan. Readings and Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed in english/french by John Quinlan, also. A moving eulogy was given by Brandie Pigeon. Pallbearers were Lorraine Quinlan-Vachon, Patrick Vachon, Hugette Pigeon, Leo Pigeon, Frank Quinlan and Mark Horton. Several floral arrangements, Mass cards and memorial donations were received by the family. Interment took place in Rideau Cemetery with graveside prayers by Father Roger. Reception then followed at McBay's Restaurant.
