SMITH, GERALDINE A. - The death of Geraldine A. (Weeds) Smith of Barbara Crescent, wife of Arthur E. Smith, occurred on Thursday September 1, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1927 in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Edward C. and Annie M. (Biggar) Weeds. She lived all her life in Saint John and in earlier years was on staff of the Lancaster DVA Hospital as a Medical Laboratory Technologist. She is survived by her husband Arthur; two sons Kevin E. (Louise) of Mississauga, Ontario and Gregory A. (Judith) of London, Ontario; one grandson Peter of Mississauga, Ontario; one sister Mildred Kelly of Saint John; one brother Edward of Ontario and several nieces and nephews. She was Anglican by faith. It was the request of Gerry, that there be no visitation. Following cremation, a Graveside Service will be held at Fernhill Cemetery on Tuesday September 6, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. The family and friends are to meet at the funeral home at 10:45 am and will then proceed to the cemetery. The family would appreciate donations made to the charity of the donor's choice.
