WOAGY, IRENE T. (WALSH) - The death of Mrs. Irene T. (Walsh) Woagy, loving wife of William Woagy, occurred on September 8, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1922 in Petersville, Queens County, NB, she was the daughter of the late George and Mary-Jane (Butler) Hogan. Irene was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church and a former member of St. Ann's Lady Society. Irene was predeceased by her first husband Vincent A. Walsh, together they owned and operated Walsh's Grocery on Rothesay Avenue for many years. Besides her loving husband William, she is survived by her sons Murray (Lana) Walsh of Passekeag, Raymond (Davine) Walsh of Kingston, Robert (Colleen) Walsh of St. Catherine's, ON, and Kevin (Tanya) Walsh of St. Catherine's, ON; daughters Jane (Ron) Ferguson of St. Catherine's, ON, Carol (David) O'Neill of Moncton and Marie (Mike) Muir of Philadelphia; brothers Alfred Hogan of Toronto and Patrick (Rose) Hogan of New Maryland; sisters Frances McSheffrey of Saint John and Catherine (Bartly) Owens of Oromocto; nine grandchildren; two great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband Vincent A. Walsh, sisters Mildred Breen, Vera O'Donnell and Ellen McCann; brothers Herbert Hogan and Arthur Hogan predeceased her. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Ann's Catholic Church on Monday September 12, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
