FORRESTER, THOMAS ELERY - Thomas Elery Forrester (Tommy), born March 26th, 1947, died Monday, September 12th, 2005 at the Queen's North Health Complex, Minto after a period of failing health. Tom was the eldest son of Freda (Barton) Forrester and the late James Forrester. He was born in Minto and retired from the Grand Lake Power Plant after 32.5 years. Tom is survived by his wife Jane (Thibeau) Forrester; one daughter, Susan Forrester (Andrew) of Minto; a granddaughter, Emily Atyeo of Minto; his mother, Freda Forrester of Newcastle Creek; a sister, Faye Watson (Austin) of Marysville; a brother, William (Billy) of Newcastle Creek; many uncles, aunts and cousins as well as numerous brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews on his wife side. His father, James (Jimmy) Forrester predeceased him. Resting at the Minto Funeral Home (327-3490) where visitation will take place on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and from where funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 14th, 2005 from the Parker Memorial Chapel with Rev. Keith Barton officiating. Interment will follow in the Newcastle Creek Cemetery Extension. For those who wish, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Newcastle Creek Cemetery Extension, the Grand Lake Rotary Camp or the Canadian Paraplegic Association would be appreciated by the family.
