LOIS D'ARCY

D'ARCY, LOIS - Lois Marguerite (Campbell) D'Arcy - on Saturday September 17, 2005 - cherished by husband Leycester D. D'Arcy, Q.C., children Linda, Dianne (Patrick Walsh), Monica (John Antworth), Mary, and Mark (Dr. Caroline Lubbe-D'Arcy). Lois was a wonderful Nanny to five special grandchildren,D'Arcy and Connor Walsh, Elise D'Arcy, Lauren Antworth and Brayden D'Arcy. She also leaves brother Lawrence Campbell of Edmonton, a close extended family and many friends. Lois was predeceased by her son Leycester, who died at age 16 in 1969,brothers Arnold and Eugene, sisters Mary Francis and Anne Marie (Fillmore). Born in St. George in 1918, Lois was the daughter of Alexander and Alice (Phillips) Campbell. A 1941 graduate of the Chipman Memorial School of Nursing in St. Stephen, Lois especially enjoyed her training at the Shriners Hospital in Montreal. Lois proudly served as an army nurse from 1944 until her marriage in 1947 to Ley, and devoted the next 57 years to her family. Visitation is on Monday evening, September 19, from 7 to 9 PM at McAdams Funeral Home, Fredericton. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 20, 2005 at 2 PM in St. Dunstan's Roman Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Hermitage Cemetery. Family and friends are then invited to gather at The Red House, the family home. Lois' spirit will continue to guide her loved ones through their journeys. In her memory donations to a charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated.
