VERNER, MARGARET CORENA - Of Bains Corner NB. passed away at her residence on Wednesday September 21st, 2005. Born on April 4th, 1911 in Bains Corner. She was the daughter of the late James and Sarah (King) Godsoe. Margaret is survived by her three sons, Lawrence (Ann) Verner of Moosonee Ont., Glenn (Linda) Verner of Sundry Alb., and James (Elizabeth) Mclaughlin of Lepreau NB; one daughter, Marie Verner of Bains Corner; one sister Jessica Thibodeau of St. Martins; sister-in-law Laura Godsoe of Saint John; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Benjamin, Margaret was predeceased by her three brothers Kenneth, Clifford, and Daniel Godsoe, and three sisters Zelda Ellis, Alta Hughes, and Burell McDade. Mrs. Margaret Verner was a foster mother in the province of New Brunswick and fostered many children; in her later years she was very active in her church such as suppers, bake sales, and many other activities. Funeral arrangements are under the professional care of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (646-2424), with visitation being held on Thursday and Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday September 24th, 2005 at the Fundy Funeral Home "Chapel" at 11am. Interment will follow the service in Browns Cemetery Bains Corner.
