SHERWOOD, EDWARD CURRIE - March 28, 1965 - May 2, 2005. We are placing a stone dedicated in memory of Ed in the Thomas Garnett Cemetery, Garnett Settlement, NB on October 12, 2005 at 1:00 pm. Family and friends are welcome to attend. It was with sadness that we had to announce to Ed's New Brunswick birth family and friends that he died on May 2, 2005 in Edmonton, Alberta. Ed spent the last months of his life in the loving care of his family and dear friends. Ed was born in NB and spent the first nine years of his life here. While he moved to Edmonton in 1974, he never forgot his Maritime roots. Last December, he came to New Brunswick to connect and in some cases re-connect with his immediate and extended birth family. It was a trip of a lifetime for him and he had hoped that if he was well enough he would return. We shall never forget the love and kindness shown to him by his birth family members and his "foster" mother Jean who he also met for the first time in over thirty years. Ed is survived by his parents Jennifer (Jay) and Laird Sherwood, sisters Ann MacTaggart and Samantha Jardine, birth mother Deanna, birth brother and sister Philip Francis and Jennifer, wife Miroslawa and a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his birth father Raymond. We miss Ed a lot but know that he is at peace. We shall always remember him.
