STILES, GEORGE - At the Grand Falls General Hospital, October 20, 2005, Mr. George Stiles of Grand Falls passed away at the age of 55 years. He was married to the former Gisele Lapointe. Born at Grand Falls in 1950, he was a son of Annie (Urquart) Stiles and the late Vernon Stiles. George was a sports and nature enthusiast. He loved mountain climbing, canoeing, running, swimming and played in the businessmen hockey league. His idol and inspiration during his illness was Terry Fox. He worked a number of years for Toner Pontiac Buick GMC Ltd. Besides his wife and his mother, he is survived by his daughter, Cindy Stiles (Donald Eccleston) of Anderson Road, granddaughters, Kendra and Kassey, brothers and sisters, Vernon Jr. (Peggy) of Saint John, Patsy Vaillancourt (Ovide) of Perth-Andover, Robert (friend Lorraine) of Alberta and Mary Lapointe (friend Roger) of Rogersville, as well as nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father and a sister Ann who died as a child. Resting at O'Regan's Funeral Home, 515 Everard Daigle Blvd., Grand Falls with visiting Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. and Monday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. His funeral will be held Monday, October 24th at 2 p.m. from St. Ansgar's Anglican Church, New Denmark, with Rev.
