SHONAMAN, DONALD JOSEPH - Affectionately known as Shonnie, Donnie passed away surrounded by his family in the Palliative Care unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital on November 10th, 2005. He was the beloved husband of Doreen (Dobbin) and cherished father of Paul Shonaman (Sue), Mary Lynn Muir (Tim), Glen Shonaman (Jan), and Holly Shonaman (Lonny Rosen). He was the adored Grampy of Jason and Erin Muir, Anthony and Justin Shonaman, and Nathan and Evan Rosen. Also survived by his cousin Bobby Veniot, his sister Dorothy Darnley and his brother Douglas (Audrey). A painter by trade and an avid woodworking hobbyist, Donnie was a lifelong member of the International Brotherhood of Painters and Allied Trades, Local 1151. His fun-loving ways, quick smile and laughter will be forever treasured by his fishing buddies, card partners and dart pals alike. Visitations will be Saturday and Sunday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Rd. Saint John NB. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held from Fundy Funeral Home to St. Joachim's Church on Monday November 14th, 2005 at 11:00 am, followed there by a reception. In lieu of flowers, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society, the SJRH Palliative Care unit, or the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
