KEIRSTEAD, GEORGIE EVELYN - Evelyn passed away peacefully at the Dr. V.A. Snow Nursing Home, Hampton on November 12, 2005. She was the widow of Donald B. Keirstead. Evelyn was born at the family homestead in Bloomfield, Kings County on May 24, 1915, the daughter of F. Warren and Grace B. (Fairweather) Titus. She is survived by her children, David Garfield Keirstead, Hampton; Diane Elizabeth (David A.) Bursey, Halifax, N.S.; Kathryn Irene (Allan O.) Richardson and Rodney D. (Mary E.)Keirstead, Caledonia, N.S. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren (Stephen Bursey, Elizabeth Harding, Gregory Bursey, Kimberley Chiasson, Andrew Bursey, Christine Myles, Karen Richardson, Jennifer O'Toole, Alyson Richardson, Amy Keirstead, Peter Keirstead), seven great grandchildren (Renee Bursey, Samuel Harding, Seth Harding, Jack Chiasson, Evan Chiasson, Daniel Myles, Rueben Myles), two nieces and 12 nephews. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents, four brothers (Gilbert Titus, Stephen Titus, Frank Titus, Ronald Titus) and three sisters (Irene Geddes, Caroline Titus, Kathleen Titus). Evelyn received her education at the Bloomfield Public School and Sussex High School. She was a graduate of the Chipman Memorial School of Nursing, St.Stephen. She was also an active member of the Central Norton United Baptist Church and the Carrie Johnson Women's Missionary Society until illness prevented her attendance. She was a life-time member of the Hampton Stitch and Chatter Club. The family wishes to express their profound thanks to all health-care givers at St. Joseph's Hospital (Geriatrics Department) and to all who gave such loving care at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre. Visitation at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, is on Tuesday from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. The service will be held from the funeral home on Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Mark Leary officiating. Interment will take place in the Central Norton United Baptist Church Upper Cemetery following the service. Remembrances can be made to the Carrie Johnson Women's Missionary Society, Canadian Baptist Ministries, the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre Garden of Hope or a charity of the donor's choice.
