MEIKLE, HAROLD WALLACE - The death of Harold Meikle of York Manor Nursing Home, formerly of 981 Smythe Street, Fredericton occurred Saturday, November 19th, 2005 at York Manor Nursing Home. Born on November 16th, 1915 in Charlottetown, PE, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth (Riley) Meikle and husband of the late Pauline (Northrup) Meikle. Harold was a member of Greenwood Drive United Baptist Church as well as the United Commercial Travelers of Fredericton. He worked for Kraft and Schwartz for many years and later finished his career at NB Power, retiring in 1983. Survived by his sons, Calvin (Brenda) of New Maryland, NB and Merlin (Margaret) of Pickering, ON; grandchildren, Brandon of New Maryland, NB, Andrew, Melissa and Shawn all of Pickering, ON; two nieces and one nephew. Predeceased by parents; his wife; his brother, Roland and his sister, Isabelle. Visitation will be held at McAdam's Select Community Funeral Home on Monday, November 21st, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the J.A. McAdam Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2005 at 2:00 pm. Interment will be in the Sunny Bank Cemetery.
