BLANCHARD, RAPHAEL J. - The death of Raphael (Ralph) J. Blanchard, loving husband of Ella (Gallant) Blanchard occurred on Monday November 28, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1929 in Caraquet, NB he was the son of the late Ernest and Emerise (Robichaud) Blanchard. Besides his loving wife Ella, he is survived by son Daniel (Brenda) of Saint John; daughters Denise Massey (Ryan) of Hampton and Jacqueline Blanchard; brothers Theophane (Aurore) of Bathurst and Yves (Cecile) of Village Blanchard; sisters Gilberte Daigle of Saint John, Andrea Blanchard of Moncton, Augustina Chenard of Leominister, Mass, Francine Lavoie (Armand) of Tracadie and Yvette Dugas of Sudbury, Ont; sister-in-law Priscilla Blanchard of Arizona; six grandchildren: Luc, Evan, Jillian, Brandon, Spencer and Caitlyn; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brother Donatien Blanchard. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Tuesday 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joachim's Church on Thursday December 1, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. Following cremation, interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery at a later date.
