KATHLEEN MARGARET MUNDEE
MUNDEE, KATHLEEN MARGARET - Mrs. Kathleen Margaret "Peg" Mundee of Sussex, N.B. passed away at the Kiwanis Nursing Home on December 5, 2005 at the age of 85. Born in Wards Creek NB on April 16, 1920, she was the daughter of the late William John and Bertha Elizabeth (Stapleford) O'Connor and the beloved wife of the late Donald Mundee who passed away in 1988. Peg is survived by her daughter Kathleen and her husband John Lyons of Rhode Island, her foster brother, Wesley Stapleford of Fredericton, two half brothers, Paul Faherty both of Massachusetts, Florida and her half sister, Patricia Silva of Massachusetts, two granddaughters, Jane and Emily as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Peg was predeceased by her half sister, Marjorie, her foster sister, Edith Benneth and her half brother, John Faherty. Peg graduated from Sussex High School, received her nursing degree from Provincial Normal School in Fredericton and also attended UNB. Peg was a retired Public Health Nurse, she was a member of St. Paul's United Church, and the UCW and WI. Peg was a former board member of the Multiple Sclerosis Society and the Cerebral Palsy Foundation. She belonged to many private bridge clubs including the Marathon Bridge Club. Peg was a former volunteer at the Fredericton Hospital and was always a willing canvasser. Peg was the author of the local history of Wards Creek "Stepping Back in Time". The date and time of the memorial service will be announced.
