MORRISSEY, WILLIAM, EDWARD "NED" - On Thursday, December 8th, 2005, Edward Morrissey, loving husband of Katherine (Donovan) Morrissey, passed away peacefully at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Grand Falls, he was the son of the Late John and Alice (Coté) Morrissey. Ned worked for many years as a truck driver for Moosehead Breweries, retired after 34 years of service in 1974. He was a member of the local 362 brewers and distillers union as well as a member of St. Rose Roman Catholic Church. Besides his wife of 57 years, Ned is survived by his son, Jim (Pat), two daughters; Pat (Ronald) Gogan and Mary (Tony) McGraw, all of Saint John. Ned is also survived by three grandsons, Jamie, Troy, Shaun, one brother, Frederick of Ontario and two sisters, Effie Gauvin of Gagetown and Victoria "Becky" McNally of Saint John. Besides his parents Ned was predeceased by three brothers and two sisters. Resting at Castle Funeral Home Fallsview Chapel, 309 Lancaster Ave., (634-1701) with visitation on Friday December 9th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Rose of Lima on Saturday, December 10th, 2005 at 10 o'clock followed by a reception at the Castle Fallsview reception center. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery. Donations in memory of Ned may be made to the memorial of the donor's choice.
