MARJORIE GORHAM DOWLING
DOWLING, MARJORIE GORHAM - Augusta -- Marjorie Gorham Dowling, 102, of Augusta, died Wednesday December 7, 2005 at Maine General Rehabilitation, Glenridge Drive. She was born in Kingston, New Brunswick, Canada February 6, 1903 the daughter of Adino and Rosie (VanWart) Gorham. Mrs. Dowling was a retired Quincy, Massachusetts school teacher. She was a member of the Massachusetts and National Retired Teachers Association, the Order of the Eastern Star in Quincy, American Youth Hostels, Appalachian Mountain Club and Saint Mark's Church in Augusta. Marjorie was the widow of Henry C. Dowling, who died in 1986. She was also predeceased by a brother, Donald and four sisters, Evelyn, Alice, Beryla and Zella. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Pauline Gorham; two nephews, Ernie D. Gorham, of Kingston and James Gorham, of Granton, Ontario and a niece, Frances Gorham Myers, of Fredericton, New Brunswick. At Marge's request, there will be no visiting hours or service. Following cremation, her ashes will be interred in the Trinity Church Cemetery, Kingston, New Brunswick.
