GEORGE FRANKLIN MacDONALD
MacDONALD, GEORGE FRANKLIN - 91, Halifax, died December 10, 2005, in hospital after a brief illness. Born in Saint John, N.B., he was a son of the late E. Frank and Dora (Stevens) MacDonald. He was the widower of Barbara (Berry) and the brother of Mabel and Harold. He is survived by daughters Patricia (Art Menchions), St. John's, NL, Martha (Doug Matthews), Halifax; grandchildren David and Claire MacDonald Matthews. He is also survived by Jean Osborne of Halifax, as well as relatives in New Brunswick and Nova Scotia. He retired in 1982 after a long career as a pharmaceutical representative for Frank W. Horner Ltd. in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland and Bermuda. George was a longstanding member of Bayers Road United Baptist Church, Halifax. He treasured his lifelong connection to MacDonald's corner, N.B. The memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 13, at Bayers Road United Baptist Church, Rev. Dr. Leslie McCurdy officiating, and burial will follow at 1 p.m. on December 14, at First Cambridge Baptist Church, MacDonald's Corner, N.B.
