CAROLYN ANNE (MCGUIRE) ROY
ROY, CAROLYN ANNE (MCGUIRE) - Carolyn A. Roy of Nackawic, NB passed away on December 10, 2005 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. Born in Fredericton on October 25, 1942, Carolyn was the eldest daughter of Earle and Annetta (King) McGuire. She worked for several years at the Scotia Bank in Nackawic, retiring in 1997. She was a founding member of the Happy Red Hatters and an active member of St. Simon and St. Jude Church. Carolyn enjoyed long walks and was active in various exercise classes. She treasured the many sunrises and sunsets from her sunroom overlooking the beautiful Saint John River. Her many faithful and treasured friends who were a constant support to her over the past several years are a testament to a life of generosity and loving-kindness. Those who came to encourage were often the ones to be encouraged by Carolyn, as she had a way of finding the good in everyone. She is survived by and will be sadly missed by her husband, Ronald and her children, Brent (Mary-Jo) of Fredericton, Colleen (Philippe Landry) of Bathurst and Danny of Temperance Vale; her sisters, Sharon (Wayne Chahley) of Halifax, NS, Donna (Claude Roy) of Upper Queensbury, Cathy (Randy Corey) of Fall River, NS and Joan Hawkins of Upper Queensbury; five grandchildren whom she adored, Matthew, Gabriel and Laura Roy, Alexander and Maxim Landry; as well as several nieces and nephews. Resting at Flewelling Funeral Home, 585 Otis Drive, Nackawic with visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Simon and St. Jude Catholic Church, 199 Otis Drive, Nackawic on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at 11 a.m. by Father John Beaumaster. Interment will follow in St. Simon and St. Jude Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Claude Roy, Vernon Michaud, Murray Gosse, Jim McDermott, Steven Hawkes and Dave MacMillan.
