NANCY CATHERINE "BETTY" WALSH

WALSH, NANCY CATHERINE "BETTY" - of Milford Road, formerly a resident of the North End for the greater part of her life, passed away unexpectedly at the SJRH on Friday December 16, 2005. She was born in Saint John and was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (King) Walsh. Nancy was employed with Northern Telecom for 24 years until retirement. She served overseas with the Canadian Air Force in the early 1950's and received an honorable discharge, was a member of Legion Branch #69, Ladies Auxiliary of Lancaster Baptist Church, "Milford Merry Makers Group" and volunteered at the Carleton Kirk Seniors Complex. Some of her many interests were; music, dancing, crossword puzzles as well as Rummoly Nights. Survived by three sons; Robert Wilder (Angie), James Wilder (Bonnie) and Terry Wilder, two daughters; Sharon Wilder (Marcel) and Anna MacKenzie (Pastor Gordon), one brother Charles Edward Jr. Walsh (Yvonne), one sister Elinor Fitzgerald (Paul) as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her infant son Scott. John, 14:2 "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you". Resting at A. W. Cavanagh Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Monday December 19th from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at Lancaster Baptist Church at 2pm followed by internment in Ocean View Cemetery.
