MCCARTEN, LAWRENCE MURRAY - Unexpectedly at the Passamaquaddy Lodge, St. Andrews NB on December 20, 2005, Mr. Lawrence Murray McCarten, loving husband of Heloise (Leslie) McCarten, formerly of Back Bay NB. Born in St. George NB on August 29, 1924 he was a son of the late James Leo and Margaret Arabelle (Murray) McCarten. A loving husband, father, grandfather and brother he is survived besides his wife, by one daughter; Judy Anne McCarten of Ottawa Ont., one granddaughter; Danielle Gilbert also of Ottawa, one grandson; Sean Gilbert of Whistler B.C, two sisters; Mary Eileen McCarten of St. George NB and Jenny Donovan of Edmonton AB as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by three sisters; Marguerite McNichol, Catherine Kappel and Carmina Barrett and one brother; Robert McCarten. By Murray's request, there will be no visiting at the funeral home. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer Society or the NB Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.
