ROONEY, BERTHA LOUISE - The death of Bertha L. (McEachern) Rooney, wife of the late William H. (Jake) Rooney, occurred on Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Bertha C. (Friars) McEachern. She was a lifelong resident of Saint John and an Anglican by faith. Survived by her daughter, Terry Keith (Chuck) of Dartmouth, NS, sister-in-law, Illa McEachern of Saint John, 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughters: Lois Mary (Peggy) Campbell and Anna J. Gaynes and several brothers and sisters. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row, Saint John (506-634-7424) with visiting on Thursday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, December 23, 2005 at 2:15 PM at Brenan's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
