BROOKINS, JOHN DAVID "JOHNNY' - Of Duncairn Court, died peacefully at his residence on December 25, 2005. He was born in Saint John and was the son of John "Jack" H. Brookins and the late Phyliss J. (Melvin) Brookins. In addition to his father he is survived by his wife Dawn (Steele) Brookins, one son; Jason Brookins, three daughters; Mikayla Brookins, Misty White and Tara White, two sisters; Sharon Pursey (Phil) and Crystal Layden (Peter) as well as one grandchild; Hayden White, brother in law; Donnie Hawkins and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one sister Teri-Lee. John was a wonderful husband, father, papa and friend. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends who will fondly remember him. Resting at A. W. Cavanagh Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Tuesday December 27, 2005 from 2-4pm & 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held in Cavanagh's Chapel on Wednesday at 1pm followed by cremation and a private family burial at a later date in Fernhill Cemetery.
