TAVERNE, AUGUSTINE (GUS) - The death of Augustine (Gus) Taverne of Perth-Andover occurred on January 1, 2006 at the Hotel Dieu Hospital at the age of 68. Born in Glace Bay, N.S. he was the son of the late Louis and Cecile Taverne. He is survived by his wife Donna Anne (Theobald) Taverne; two daughters Michele (Steve) Lane of Toronto and Lori-Anne (Allan) Pirie of Rowena; one son Chris Taverne of Perth-Andover; six grandchildren; one brother Charlie Taverne of Glace Bay and one sister Vicky Kibyuk of Glace Bay. Predeceased by his parents, brother Louis and sister Cecile. Resting at White's Funeral Home with visiting hours on Wednesday January 4th from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held on Thursday January 5th at 2 pm from the Wesleyan Church, Perth-Andover with Rev. Ryan Farrell officiating. Interment in the Larlee Creek Cemetery in the spring.
