ARTHUR WINSLOW BROWN
BROWN, ARTHUR WINSLOW - The death of Arthur Winslow Brown of Fairfield occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on January 4, 2006, surrounded by his loving family. Born 1923 in Fairfield he was the son of the late Chester and Bessie (Hunter) Brown. Art was a veteran of WWII serving as a Bren Gun Carrier Operator. He worked as a Longshoreman and was a member of I.L.A. Local 273. Art was a life long member of Fairfield United Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 48 years Evelyn A. (Weston) Brown; one son Calvin Brown (Lorie); two step children Wayne Garnett (Wanda) and Marilyn Rankin (Ted); ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; brothers Gordon, Sterling; sisters Grace Weston and Myrtle Belding; sisters-in-law Bette Dawn Brown and Norma Brown; several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers John, Glendon, Ralph, Ernest; and sister Shirley McLean. Visitations will be held from Fairfield United Baptist Church on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Fairfield United Baptist Church on Saturday January 7, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Browns Cemetery.
