MOREHOUSE, ALENA VICTORIA - of Carleton Kirk Nursing Home, passed away peacefully on Sunday January 8, 2006 in her 105th year. She was born in Saint John, August 31, 1901 and was the daughter of the late Ellis and Mary (Stears) Jennings and wife of the late Harold B. Morehouse. Life long resident of Saint John and during her earlier years she was very active in Trinity Anglican Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survived by her son; H. B. Wayne Morehouse (Elsie) of Saint John, East, two grandchildren; Scott Morehouse and Brian Morehouse (Jennifer), one great grandson Parker as well as several nieces and nephews. Also predeceased are one daughter Joyce C. Morehouse, one brother; Edward, three sisters; Leona, Louise and Sadie. Resting at A. W. Cavanagh Funeral Home & Cremation Centre, 91 Leinster Street (634-1712) with visiting on Tuesday from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The Funeral Service will be held in Cavanagh's Chapel on Wednesday at 2pm followed by burial in Cedarhill Extension Cemetery.
