EDITH PAULINE PLEDGE

PLEDGE, EDITH PAULINE - At the York Manor Nursing Home in Fredericton, on Monday January 23, 2006 Edith Pauline Pledge passed away at the age of 90. Born in Fredericton, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Nellie (Storey) Parker. Edith was the last surviving member of her family. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary branch #4. Edith loved bowling, dancing, playing cards and traveling. She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Harold (Bill) Pledge; her loving daughters Shirley Price and Doreen Shanks both of Fredericton; four grandchildren; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a half-sister Dallice Carter of Salisbury; two half brothers Allen Parker of Belleville, ON and Wayne Parker of Fredericton; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was also predeceased by a brother Raymond Parker; two sisters Phyllis McLaughlin and Beatrice Barton; son-in-law Fred Shanks. No visitation by Edith's request. A graveside service will be held at Forest Hill Cemetery in the spring. Bishop's Funeral Home 540 Woodstock Road Fredericton have been entrusted with the arrangements.
