MALCOLM CHESTER GREEN

GREEN, MALCOLM CHESTER - 69; of Seal Cove, Grand Manan, passed away after a lengthy illness at the Grand Manan Hospital on Wednesday January 25th. Born in Seal Cove, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Green. Malcolm worked as a Lobster fisherman before retirement; he was a member of the Grand Manan Curling Club and a very active member of the Brookside Golf Course. He is survived by his wife Catherine (Guptill) Green; one step-son James Gardiner of Calgary; two very special granddaughters Rio Cameron, and Amanda Gardiner; three sons Tracy, John, and Trent; three daughters Holly, Tammy, and Shonda; also one step-daughter Crystal Cameron; one brother Stanley (Mary) Green of Seal Cove; four sisters Velda Rhandall, Leah Ingersoll, Glenda (Harvard) Jones, Olive (Russell) Steen, as well as seventeen grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. Malcolm was predeceased by one son Shane (1998), one sister Elsie (1976), and one brother Austin (2002). The family will receive friends and relatives at Ells Funeral Home on Thursday 7-9 PM, Friday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. The funeral service will be held from the Seal Cove Wesleyan Church on Saturday, January 28th, at 1 PM with Rev. George Clarke assisted by Rev. Ward McComiskey officiating with interment to follow in the Hillside Cemetery, Seal Cove, N.B. The family has requested donations to be made to the Charlotte County Cancer Society.
