MURPHY, ALMIRA L. - Almira L. Murphy of Jordan Life Care Centre, formerly of Kodiac Place, Petitcodiac and Havelock, passed away Friday, February 24, 2006 at her residence at the age of 89. Born in Argyle Sound, NS, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Eula (Fletcher) Spinney. She was a homemaker, a member of the Havelock United Baptist Church, the Women's Missionary Society, and the Women's Institute. She is survived by her daughter, Oretha Forsythe (Bob) of Havelock; sons, Avery (Irene) of Fredericton, Roy (Joan) of Saint John, Douglas (Gail) of Moncton; daughter-in-law, Shirley Murphy (Ken) of Hillgrove; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband, Victor; sons, William and Ashley; son-in-law, Ralph Keith, daughter-in-law, Marsha; grandson, Jeremy. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Armstrong's Funeral Home, Petitcodiac (756-3361) where visiting hours will be held, Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral will be held from the Havelock United Baptist Church on Monday, February 27, 2006 at 1:30pm, Rev. Gordon Cook officiating. Burial will be held in the Greenhill Cemetery, at a later date.
