EILEEN M. BANNON
BANNON, EILEEN M. - Eileen M. Bannon 85, of Moncton passed away peacefully at the Moncton Hospital on Sunday February 26, 2006 after a brief illness. Born in Port Elgin, Eileen was the daughter of the late Joseph Daniel and Ester Maude (Barry) Savage. Her family was the most important part of her life. She was a devoted mother and wife and was dearly loved by her family and friends. She was an avid reader, enjoyed CNN, current and world affairs, politics, Irish music and had a wonderful sense of humor. She graduated from St. Francis Xavier University and following graduation worked for the CNR in Moncton for several years. Eileen was an exceptional individual and will be missed by all who knew her. Eileen will be deeply missed by her husband of 51 years, Doug Bannon and her two cherished daughters, Jane Bannon, Halifax; and Sheila Bannon and her husband, Dave Publicover, Halifax; devoted brothers, Brian Savage (Shirley), Fredericton; and Gerald Savage (late Josephine), Wilimington, DE; sister-in-law, Betty Bannon, Moncton; long and devoted friends, Bertie McBeath, Moncton and Queenie MacDonald, Shediac; cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother, Vaughan Savage, Bridgetown, NS. Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858- 1995) Tuesday 2-4, 7-9. A funeral mass to celebrate her life will be held at St. Bernards Roman Catholic Church, Botsford Street, Moncton, Wednesday March 1st, 2006, 2pm, Rev. Allison Carroll officiating. Reception following the service. As expressions of sympathy, if desired donations may be made to the Friends of the Moncton Hospital or Parkinson's Research at the Queen Elizabeth II Hospital in Halifax.
