MELVIN, AGNES E. - The death of Agnes E. Melvin occurred on February 26, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in Saint John she was the daughter of the late Andrew 'Andy' and Alice (Martin) Gray. Surviving are sons Ted Perry (Jenny), John Perry (Jeanne), Gordon Melvin Vaughan Melvin, daughters Rose Perry (John Nicholson), Ruby Matson (Johnny), brothers Louie Gray (Mary Lou), Fred Gray (Mamie), sisters Shirley Gogan, Joanne McGinnis, Dollie Jones and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Her sons David and Georgie Melvin and daughter Alice Melvin predeceased her. Resting at Brenan's Select Community Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row (634-7424), with visiting on Tuesday from 7-9 pm and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 2, 2006, at 10:00 am from the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception.
