IRVINE COLBY HORSMAN
HORSMAN, IRVINE COLBY - 1924-2006 Irvine Colby Horsman, 82, of Alma passed away on February 28, 2006 at the Moncton Hospital. Irvine was born in Point Wolfe, NB on January 19, 1924 the son of the late Alphonso (Vaughn) and Mary (Cooper) Horsman. He last worked as a Marine Engineer until his retirement. He was a Veteran of World War II, having served overseas in Holland. He will be deeply missed by his three daughters Judith Jolliffe (Ken) of Campbell River, BC, Janet Laderoute (Warren) of Port Albernie, BC and Connie O'Hara (Joe) of Alma; his four sons David Horsman (Helen) of Curryville, Robert Horsman (Ethel) of Meductic, Kevin Horsman (Linda) of Riverview and Greg Horsman of Alma; his sister Margaret Sisk (Joe) of Fredericton; his 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. He will also be missed by his two nephews, Tom and Peter Sisk. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his wife Edna (Elliott) Horsman; and by two grandchildren Jonathon and Megan. He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with visitation on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The funeral service will be held at the Albert County Funeral Home on Thursday, March 2, 2006 at 2 pm with Rev. Val Chongva officiating. Interment will be held in the Alma United Cemetery, Alma at a later date. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice would be appreciated by the family.
