NICHOLAS, JUNE E. - The death of Mrs. June E. Nicholas, wife of the late George Nicholas, occurred on Wednesday March 22, 2006 at Rocmaura Nursing Home. June was involved with the Stephenson Tower Seniors Group as well as the Charleton Place Seniors Club. Born 1925 in New Glasgow, NS she was the daughter of the late Russell and Jessie (Langille) Stewart. June is survived by her son George Nicholas (Deana) of Edmonton AB; daughters Sherrin Anne Laird (Paul) of Saint John NB, Linda Maria Stewart of Antigonish NS, Bonita C. Bona of Akron OH, June Melanson (Paul) of Saint John; brothers Roy (Sparky) Stewart of Coalburn NS, Victor Stewart (Bonnie) of Ottawa ON; sisters Caroline (Birdie) Ollerton of New Glasgow NS, Joyce Fraser of Stellerton NS; grandchildren Angela,Michael, Karen, Jamie, Julie, Emilie, Pam, Jared and Mikel; nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides her parents June was predeceased by her husband George and sister Midge Ackles. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road Saint John (646-2424) with visiting on Friday March 24th, 2006 between the hours of 2-4pm and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday March 25th, 2006 at 10:00am with the interment taking place in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
