GREEN, PAYSON AVERY - Peacefully, at the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen, NB on March 27, 2006, Mr. Payson Avery Green, husband of Lila Josephine (Wilson) Green of Fairhaven, NB. Born on Grand Manan, NB on August 7, 1913, he was a son of the late Leon Jason Green and Rosilla (Small) Green. He is survived, besides his wife, by one daughter, Greta (Allison) Pendleton of Lords Cove; two sons, Bryant (Donna) Green of Fairhaven and Garnet (Glenda) Green of Fairhaven; seven grandchildren, Debbie, Laurie, Deidre, Leigh, Derek, Brendan and Katrina; nine great-grandchildren, Clinton, Lindsey, Tony, Tiffany, Oliver, Emma, Jared, Ashley and Hayden; two sisters, Cora Young and Marguerite Alley, both of Lubec, Maine; one brother, Joseph Howell of Ellsworth, Maine; one foster brother, Otis Green; three foster sisters, Mona Ross, Rowena Small and Glenita Hattrick; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by two sisters and six brothers. Payson was a member of the Fairhaven Baptist Church and the Fair Isles Senior Citizen Club. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting. For many years he was Captain of the Haven Lady. Resting at the Fairhaven Baptist Church from where the service will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm, followed by interment in the Fairhaven Community Cemetery, Calder's Head. Visiting at the church on Tuesday evening from 7-9 pm only. In Payson's memory, donations to the Fairhaven Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
