
WILMA IRENE PARKS
PARKS, WILMA IRENE - On Sunday, March 26, 2006, at the Saint John Regional Hospital, Saint John, NB, our special and beloved mother, Mrs. Wilma Irene (Seamans) Parks, wife of the late Hugh Bruce Parks, of Breadalbane, NB, passed on to a new life with her personal Savior at the age of 91. The eldest of five children, Wilma was born in St. George on November 18, 1914, to Hubert and Lillian (Tucker) Seamans. She is survived by five daughters, Christine (Jack) Shaw of Canal, Linda (Chuck) Crosby of St. George, Joanne (David) Blair of Fredericton, Dorothy Parks (Billy) of Newberry, Florida and Juliet (Eugene) Kinghorne of Grand Manan; four sons, Ronald (Katheleen) Parks of Eaganville, ON, Hugh (Wanda) Parks of Breadalbane, John (Kathleen) Parks of Saint John and Charles of Fredericton; 37 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; four sisters, Cleo (Bill) Elliott of Fredericton, Faye (Ron) Burnett of Lincoln, Elsie (Philip) Foster of St. George and Geraldine Stevens of England; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Hugh, her firstborn daughter, Maxine, and a brother, Whitman. Wilma's loving kindness was an example to everyone who knew her, and she was cherished by a large family and many friends who will miss her constant love and abiding attention. Throughout her life, Wilma loved the Lord and her family, and spent her days dedicated to the enrichment of both her home and spiritual life. The loving mother of nine children, Wilma also helped manage a successful family business for many years. She was a member of the Second Falls Baptist Church, and loved gardening, sewing and cooking. She will be resting at the Baptist Church, St. George, from where the service will be held on Thursday, March 30th, at 1:00 pm, followed by interment in the St. George Rural Cemetery. Visiting at the church on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. In Wilma's memory, donations to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation, Charlotte County Cancer Society, or a charity of the donor's choice, would be appreciated by the family.
