GERALD CHARLES DICKINSON

DICKINSON, GERALD CHARLES - At Miramichi Regional Hospital, Mr Gerald Charles Dickinson, age 82, from Neguac, passed away on April 6, 2006. Husband of Yvonne Leclerc. He was the son of the late Robert Dickinson and the late Violet Britton. He is survived by his daughters: Geraldine Gautreau from St. John, Helen from Fredericton; son: Brian from Bradford, ON; sister: Doris Landry from Toronto, ON; brothers: James from Horsham, England, Leon from Toronto; three grandchildren: Andrea, Suzanne, Christine; three great grandchildren: Jessica, Erica, Chantal. Predeceased by two brothers: Robert and David; three sisters: Jean Green, Shirley Niles and Mary Cougle. Gerald served with the Service Corp overseas during World War II and on his return to Canada worked as a correctional officer at the St. John jail until he retired to Neguac in 1973. There, he was active in the Legion serving as Chairman of the Poppy Campaign and Co-Chairman of Domiciliary Care for a number of years and a member of the Golden Age Club. Gerald loved his family and friends and will be sadly missed by them. Will be resting at Robichaud Home, 50 Otho Street, Neguac, on Sunday April 9, 2006 at 2 pm. The Funeral services will be held at the St. Bernard Church in Neguac on Monday April 10, 2006 at 4 pm. Visitation hours: Sunday 2 to 4, 7 to 9; Monday 1 until the departure. The family would appreciate donation to the Palliative Care of the Miramichi Regional Hospital or to the St. Bernard Parish.
