C. LENOR WARNER

WARNER, C. LENOR - The death of C. Lenore Warner occurred peacefully at her residence, Rocmaura Nursing Home, on Thursday, April 13, 2006. Born in Saint John on June 14, 1920, Lenore was the eldest daughter of the late William Leo and Kathleen (Costigan) Warner. She was predeceased by four brothers, Rev. Donald J. Warner of Saint John, John E. (Anna) Warner, Q.C. of Fredericton, William H. (Lily) Warner of Vancouver, and Dr. Hugh A. (Barbara) Warner of Fredericton and Montreal; and two sisters, D. Marie (Hon. Gerard D. ) LaForest of Ottawa and Fredericton, and Margaret T. (Christopher) Brown of Winchester, Ma. Lenore moved with her family to McAdam in 1926, attended elementary and high school there, and returned to Saint John in 1937. A resident of Rocmaura for the past twenty-eight years, she was elected president of the Resident's Committee for one term. She was always an enthusiastic participant in singing, bowling, and all other recreational activities and will be missed by both permanent and volunteer staff. She is survived by her brother, Clifford G., and her sisters, F. Eileen (Bliss) Cole and Dorothy Anne (Pierre) Vachon, all of this city; as well as several nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States. The family wish to thank the Sisters of Charity of Saint John and all the staff who cared for Lenore, and are particularly grateful for the assistance of Dr. Kristoffersen. Friends may call at Fitzpatrick's Funeral Home, 100 Waterloo St., on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Rose de Lima Church on Monday morning at 10:30. Interment will take place in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Rocmaura Foundation or Divine Mercy School. www.fitzpatrickfh.com
