EDWARD CARROLL (DICK) McCLUSKEY
McCLUSKEY, EDWARD CARROLL (DICK)- The death of Mr. Edward Carroll (Dick) McCluskey, loving husband of Lois J.V. (Rossley) McCluskey, occurred on Friday May 5, 2006 at the Saint John Regional Hospital, surrounded by his family. Born 1923 in South Musquash, NB he was the son of the late Roy and Minnie (Penny) McCluskey. Dick was a Veteran of WWII from 1941-1946, serving 3 years in Europe and was in Liberation of Holland. He was a Longshoreman ILA, Lobster and Salmon fisherman and was an owner of a sawmill. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion and the Masonic Lodge. Besides his loving wife Lois he is survived by daughters Doreen E. Grover (Ashook) of Toronto, Donna J. Moore (Don) of Rothesay, Joyce L. Goddard (Burton) of Riverview and Linda M. Cooke (Peter P. Smith) of Musquash; son Edward C. McCluskey (Sonya Flooks) of Saint John; grandchildren Donnie Moore (Keely), Amy Wear (Dr. Andrew Wear), Ajeet Grover, Steven Goddard, Erik Goddard, Neil Goddard, Joshua Flooks and Cody McCluskey; and the new love of his last days great granddaughter Abigail Wear; sister Mabel Fitzrandolph of Musquash; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers Walter, Allan, Len, Elmer, Albert and Reg; Sister Nettie Gamble. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday May 7, 2006 from 2-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held from Kennebecasis Baptist Church, 383 Hampton Road, Quispamsis on Monday May 8, 2006 at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Brian Long officiating. Reception will follow in church hall. Interment will follow reception in Greenwood Cemetery Field of Honor.The family would appreciate donations made to the charity of the donor's choice. A tribute to a Veteran Service will be held on Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
