Jones, Katherine Elizabeth 'Betty' (nee Fawcett) - On Sunday, May 20, 2007, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital, Betty passed away in her 77th year surrounded by her loving family. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband George. Cherished and devoted mother of Murray Jones and Susan Wickens-Schiedel and her husband Ron. Special grandmother 'Nan' of Jonathan, Brad and step-grandmother of Sarah, Justin, Andrew and Adam. Dear sister of Murray and Nina Fawcett of Burlington. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Richard Murray and Kathleen Fawcett of Sackville. Betty was a graduate of KW Hospital and practiced as a nurse at the Galt Hospital, Grandview Training School, Preston Springs Garden and Hanning House. She was a lifetime member of the Preston Chapter of IODE and an active member of Saint John's Anglican Church. She assisted with Meals on Wheels and gave of herself to so many charities. The family will be receiving friends and relatives at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas Street, Cambridge, on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Betty's life will be held at Saint John's Anglican Church, 567 Queenston Road, Cambridge, on Friday, May 25, 2007 at 11 a.m. Please join us after for a time of fellowship in the parish hall. Cremation has taken place. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
