Point de Bute, N.B.- The death of Manfred Fassauer, age 61, of Point de Bute, N.B. occurred on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital. Born in Wolfersheim, Germany on May 3, 1946, he was the son of Erika Fassauer and the late Alfred Fassauer. Manfred will be sadly missed by his mother Erika Fassauer and sister Hannelore (Alwin) Zerb, both of Point de Bute, N.B.; nephew Michael Zerb (Janice Chamberlain) of Moncton, N.B.; niece Alexandra (Gary) Hunter of Mount Whatley, N.B.; and grand nephews and nieces, Bianca, Erich and Gabriele. He was predeceased by his father Alfred Fassauer. Arrangements were entrusted to Campbell’s Funeral Home, 89 Bridge Street, Sackville, N.B. (364-8188). Cremation has taken place, there was no visitation by request of the family. The funeral service was held from the Middle Sackville Baptist Church, Sackville, N.B. on Friday, January 4, 2008 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Vernon Vickruck officiating.
