PORTER, MICHAEL E. - Michael E. Porter passed away at Edmundston Regional Hospital on June 8, 2006. Born in Moncton, NB on February 16, 1945, he was the son of the late Sylvanus and Ruth (Lewis) Porter. Michael lived in Plaster Rock for the last 37 years. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Porter (Manuel); his daughters, Judy Chase of Calgary and Nancy (Paul) Tompkins of Edson, AB; his sons, Raymond (Denise) Porter of Drummond, Michael (Melinda) Porter of Grand Prairie, AB; his step-daughter, Lisa (Roch) Boudreau of Bathurst; his sisters, Marjorie Ward of Plaster Rock, Sylvia VanDine of Ontario, Audrey Gauthier of Northview; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Michael was predeceased by his brother, Lee Porter; his sisters, Mary Ritchie, Edna Tycouski and Vivian Tapley. Resting at Tobique Chapel in Plaster Rock with visitation on Sunday from 1 to 4pm. Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 4pm at the Tobique Chapel, Rev. Fred Hanson officiating.
