MARCH, JOHN - At the St. Catharines General Hospital, on Sunday, June 18, 2006 at the age of 71. Beloved husband of 47 years to Huguette (Pilon) March. Loving father of Anne (David) Austin and their children Christopher and Stephanie, Michelle (Alan) Slachta and their children John-Alan and Jessica all from Ottawa, Louise (Jim) Cooper and their children Alex and Sarah of St. Catharines and David (Hilary) March and their children Sophie and Lucas of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia. Dear brother of Agnes (Stephen) Black of Dallas, Texas, William (Patricia) March, Jim (Patricia) March, Patricia March Sister of Mercy, Anita (Edward) McCann and Brian (Cheryl) March all of St. John's, Newfoundland. John was a professional engineer for the Quebec-Ontario Paper Co. for 36 years retiring in 1996. A Memorial Mass for John will be celebrated at St. Patrick's Church, 31 Chestnut St. E., Merritton on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Inurnment at a later date at his birth place in Newfoundland. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of John to the Canadian Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.
