CARSON, EDITH MAE - The death of Edith Mae Carson of Hampton, widow of Robert Carson occurred July 16, 2006 at the Dr. V.A. Snow Centre. She was born in Salt Springs on October 7, 1914, daughter of the late Beverly and Mary Jane (Russell) Campbell and had been a resident of Saint John the greater part of her life. Edith had a real zest for life and will be fondly remembered by many. She especially enjoyed playing Bingo and going to dances at the Saint John City Market. She is survived by four grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; one sister, Mabel Carson, Titusville; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her daughter, June; and six sisters, Violet, Elizabeth (Libby), Dorothy (Dorie), Jessie, Bertha and Vessie. Resting at Reid's Funeral Home (832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton with visitation from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm Monday. The Funeral will be held Tuesday, July 18, 2006 at 11:00 am at Reid's Funeral Home Chapel. Interment in Titus Hill Cemetery. Memorials to NB Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
